Thank you for re-electing me, as your Ward 5 City Councilor!

I am deeply grateful to the residents of Ward 5 for choosing me as their City Councilor. It is an honor to serve this community alongside my dedicated colleagues, supportive family, and amazing friends. Throughout these last few campaigns, I had the opportunity to personally connect with many of you while knocking on doors, but for those I haven't yet met, let me share a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Pittsfield, educated in its public school system, and graduated from Taconic High School's Academy of Business Management. Following that, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Westfield State University.

After gaining valuable experience as a Store Manager at Ben & Jerry's Pittsfield, I decided to explore new horizons in Denver, Colorado. After climbing literal and figurative mountains out west, my journey eventually led me back to the area, where I decided to stay. I chose to run for office. We chose resiliency through the COVID-19 Pandemic. As we return to normalcy, I am your Councilor, an Operations Consultant and a Real Estate Professional.

As we navigate a post pandemic world, I firmly believe that Pittsfield is heading in the right direction, with momentum building beneath the surface. However, there are still areas that require attention and improvement. One of my key focuses is on increasing funding for public education and technical training. I aim to solidify the bridge between our vocational high school and local advanced manufacturing firms, ensuring students have the necessary training for well-paying local jobs, even if they choose not to pursue college. Additionally, I seek to address infrastructure needs, including faster internet, safer bridges, improved roadways, expanded bike paths, and pedestrian infrastructure.

Responsible zoning is also at the forefront of my agenda. I aim to strike a balance between being business-friendly for mixed-use development in downtown and preserving the character of residential neighborhoods while protecting conservation lands. Education and retaining our youth are crucial, as a younger workforce and sustainable population growth will alleviate the growing tax burden on Ward 5 residents.

Throughout my campaigns, my team and I have made it a priority to listen to the concerns and aspirations of Ward 5 residents. We went neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street, door by door, demonstrating our readiness to work for you. Now, it is our collective responsibility as citizens to come together and be the positive change we wish to see. With fresh ideas and new voices, I am confident that together we can achieve greatness.

To the voters of Ward 5, I cannot express my gratitude enough for your continuous support. I look forward to the opportunity to chat with each and every one of you soon.
